Zomato shares make strong market debut

Zomato share made its market debut at a premium of over 52% to IPO issue price day. Portion of Zomato opened at ₹116, 52.63% higher on NSE against issue price of ₹76. Market cap of the firm remained at ₹1.02 lakh crore on NSE.

Total 36.10 crore shares changed hands adding up to turnover of ₹4,967 crore on NSE on BSE, the food delivery firm made its introduction at ₹115, 51.31% higher to the issue price.

At 10:11 am, Zomato share was trading 81.58% or ₹62 higher at ₹138 against IPO issue price on BSE. Market cap of the firm rose to ₹1.07 lakh crore on BSE.

Complete 1.99 crore shares changed hands adding up to turnover of ₹26,571 crore on BSE. Offers in the IPO were offered in a value band of ₹72-76. The firm has raised ₹9,375 crore from the IPO. The issue was open from July 14 to July 16.

On the last day, the initial public offer (IPO) was bought in 38.25 occasions.

The issue receive bids for 2,751.25 equity shares against IPO size of 71.92 crore equity shares on offer. A day ahead of IPO, Zomato raised ₹4,196.51 crore from 186 anchor investors.
