₹2,700 cr Investments Raised by EESL for Smart Meter Project in Uttar Pradesh

Investments worth ₹2,700 crores have been lined up by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) for smart meter project in Uttar Pradesh. As many as 4 million electricity meters will be installed by the joint venture in the premises of power consumers in the state in the next 3 years.
EESL general manager Rajiv Kumar said that the company has already installed over 400,000 smart meters in 13 cities, including Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Kanpur.
