₹5,000 cr to be Spent by Govt to Skill Unorganized Sector Workers

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said that there has been an increase in focus on the formal sector in the past few years. However, around 93% of the workers in the unorganized sector have been left out, it said. Now the ministry looks to spend ₹5,000 crores on the sector to take its skill mission forward.

Skill and Entrepreneurship secretary, KP Krishnan said that the ministry is working with central government to include the un-included. He also said that the ministry is doing a lot for the informal-unorganized sector.
