₹6.3 trn Investment in Sanitation, Water Sector Expected in 5 Yrs

According to JM Financial Institutional report, public welfare “Nal se Jal” scheme that looks to provide piped water connections to every home by 2024 will also drive huge investment in both sanitation and water sector.

The report said that investments worth ₹6.3 trillion are expected in EPC, pipes, cement, valves, etc. and that they will vary with the states and also depend on the quality and quantity of drinking water. It also said that central and eastern states will make for most of the investment in the project.
