₹750cr in UP Solar Power to be Invested by ReNew, Pallonji

Shapoorji Pallonji and ReNew are to invest around ₹750 crores in the 150-megawatt floating solar power project in Uttar Pradesh. This would be the first for the state and also the largest across the nation. It will be set up at Rihand hydropower project of UP Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UPJVNL) in Bundelkhand region.

UP energy minister Srikant Sharma said that UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) will receive solar power from the companies for the next 25 years at the rate of ₹3.36 per unit.
