100,000 Farmers to March in Delhi to Raise Demands
December 03, 2018
Debt-ridden and financially failing farmers will take to the streets in New Delhi to raise their demands which include better minimum support price (MSP), farm loan waiver, and implementation of the MS Swaminathan Committee recommendations.
More than 100,000 farmers from 200 organizations will participate in the “Kisan Mukti March” that is organized by the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee. It will last for 2 days and be initiated in five areas in Delhi viz. ANVT Terminus, Sabzi Mandi station, Bijwasan, and Hazrat Nizamuddin. This would be one of the many protests that have been organized by farmers across the country in the past few months. Just a few days ago, 25,000 farmers had marched from Nasik to Mumbai to raise their demands.
