130 bn USD to be Spent on Military Modernization in 5-7 Years by Govt

According to sources, the government is looking to facilitate the modernization of the Air Force, Navy, and Army by procuring a slew of submarines, missiles, weapons, warships, and fighter jets. A plan to spend a whopping 130 billion USD has also been created for the same and it will be carried over the next 5-7 years.

Sources said that under the plan, the government will procure 1,700 future-ready combat vehicles, 2,600 infantry combat vehicles, and 110 multirole fighter aircraft for the Indian Air Force.
