1,600 Railway Stations Turned into RailWire Wi-Fi Zones by RailTel

As many as 1,600 railway stations across the country have been provided with RailWire Wi-Fi by Railtel so far. Mumbai’s Santacruz railway station was the 1,600th one to get the facility, a railways official said.

RailTel Corporation is one of the largest telecom infrastructure providers in India and RailWire is its retail broadband service that looks to provide high-speed Internet service to the public. It also owns a pan-India optic fiber network on exclusive Right of Way (ROW) along Railway tracks.
