200 US Companies to Move Operations from China to India After General Election
The US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum said that as many as 200 American firms are looking to move their manufacturing bases from China to India after the Lok Sabha elections. Group president Mukesh Aghi said that the companies are seeking advice on how to invest in India so that they can have an alternative to China. He also said that the new government should bring transparency in the decision-making processes and accelerate reforms to attract investments.
