More than 21,000 Registrations on The First Day of e-way Bill Portal Launch

The new e-way bill portal that was rolled out on January 17 this year, has already received more than 21,000 registrations so far, Goods and Services Network (GSTN) said.
With total 21,756 registrations, the response received from the taxpayers and transporters is enthusiastic, the network officials said. GSTN CEO Prakash Kumar also said that the number of registrations is increasing very fast.
GSTN had assigned the responsibility of the e-way bill system implementation to the National Informatics Centre. In response to that, it has established a separate infrastructure that’s capable of handling 40 lakh e-way bills a day.
