3 cr Minority Students Received Scholarships in Past 5 Years, Says Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

Union ministry affairs minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that 3.18 lakh students from minority communities viz. Parsi, Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, and Jain received scholarships from the government during the past 5 years. He said that out of these, 50% were females.
Naqvi said that the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) looks to provide pre-matric, post-matric and merit-cum-means scholarships during the next 5 years to 5 crore students from poor families who belong to the 6 minority groups.
