4,500 Women Constables to be Recruited by Railway Protection Force, Says Piyush Goyal

This Friday, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said that there is a huge requirement for women constables in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) which is why the government has decided to fill up to 50% of the vacancies with lady constables.

Goyal said that the percentage of women constables in RPF is a mere 2.25% which is why the Prime Minister has asked more recruitment. However, he also clarified that there is no such 35% reservation for women in government jobs that are being considered by the Center.
