6.5 bn USD Worth of Loans Taken by Pakistan from China During July-Apr

Pakistan has revealed that it took loans worth 6.5 billion USD from China in FY20 which alone makes for around 75% of the foreign loans that the country took during the period. It was the pressure of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that forced Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan to disclose the various types of loans his cash-strapped country took from his ally China

Apart from China, Pakistan has also taken loans from Saudi Arabia and UAE worth 3 billion USD and 2 billion USD, respectively.
