Adult Training Important with Increasing Automation: OECD
February 15, 2019
According to the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), developed countries must focus on providing adult training and education programmes to prepare for the massive job changes that are to come with the rise of automation.
OECD predicts that 30% of the jobs will be overhauled and at least one in seven jobs might be fully automated in the near future. It said that only 40% of workers whose jobs are at risk are receiving appropriate training which is why their countries must “urgently scale-up and upgrade their adult learning systems”.
