Air India Seeks Rs. 1,500 cr Worth Loans

In a bid to meet its urgent capital requirements, domestic airline Air India is seeking short-term loans of about Rs. 1,500 crores.

This is the third time since September that the national carrier is planning to raise funds. It raised Rs. 3,250 crores in September, and Rs. 1,500 crores in October.

A government-guarantee for the loan, which will have a tenure up to June 2018 (tentative), has already been obtained by the airline and the interested banks are asked to raise their bids by December 12.
