A project for installation of CCTV cameras in all government schools in Delhi has been initiated by state Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He was present at Shaheed Hemu Kalani Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Lajpat Nagar when he launched the project and called it a “historic milestone”. He also said that by the end of November this year, CCTV cameras will be installed in over 1,000 Delhi government schools and that private schools have already been asked to install cameras.

Kejriwal said that parents will be able to receive a live feed from the classrooms on their phones.
