ATMs Recalibration for Rs. 200 Notes to Cost Banks Rs. 120 cr

As the banks have started to recalibrate their ATMs for the new Rs. 200 currency notes that were introduced by the RBI in August, industry experts expect it to set them back by Rs. 120 crores.

NCR Corporation India, the firm that manufactures ATMs said that it has already started with the recalibration process and covered a few thousand units for 5-6 banks so far.

There are about 2.4 lakh ATMs across the nation, including about 30,000 cash recyclers which are used for both the deposit or withdrawal of cash.
