Ayushman Bharat: 500k Health Cards Distributed, Claims Worth ₹3 bn Approved

This Tuesday, Ayushman Bharat completed 50 days of its initiation but its impact is already apparent. According to a media report, as many as 200,000 beneficiaries have already availed treatments and the government has issued a staggering 500,000 health cards. Other than that, claims to the tune of ₹17 billion have been received so far out of which ₹3 billion worth of claims have been approved. Most of these claims were raised in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Maharashtra.
