Ban on Petrol, Diesel Cars Unnecessary, EVs Becoming Popular Naturally: Nitin Gadkari

Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that banning electric and diesel vehicles are unnecessary as the demand for electric vehicles is increasing naturally. He also said that all business in the country will be electric in two years.

It’s worth noting that Niti Aayog had earlier proposed that only electric vehicles (EVs) should be sold in India after 2030. In light of the concerns that prevailed in the automobile industry, several ministers including Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had to intervene and refute the proposal to put the worries to rest.
