Benami Assets Worth ₹6,900 cr Seized by IT Dept so Far

According to an advertisement published by the Income Tax department, it has sequestered assets worth ₹6,900 crores so far under the Anti-Benami Transactions Law.
The advertisement says that those found to be involved in benami property transactions may face a jail time of up to 7 years and a fine of up to 25% of the benami property price.
