Bihar Tops Economic Growth, Says Governor Lalji Tandon

Governor Lalji Tandon said Bihar registered an economic growth of 11.3% during FY18, the highest among other states. He also said that the state is also providing a better society to the people by lowering the crime rates.
Tandon was speaking at the Budget session of both Houses of Bihar Legislature when he said that as per the data shared by Central Statistical Organization (CSO), Bihar registered an economic growth of 11.3% compared to the national growth rate of 7%. He also said that the state’s budget has increased by 18% to ₹1.77 lakh crores compared to previous year.
