Bitcoin Exchanges in China to be Shut Down on Government Orders

According to two Chinese business newspapers, the country’s financial center has ordered exchanges that trade bitcoins to shut down their operations.

21st Century Economic Report and China Business News reported that the regulators have given verbal orders to the exchange centers’ operators to close the trading operations. However, they didn’t give any additional details.
China used to be one of the most popular and biggest markets for Bitcoin trading. However, with the government tightening controls the trading volume has declined in the country lately.
