BSE aims at 60 SME listings in 2021-22

The Bombay Stock Exchange is aiming at listing some 60 organizations on the SME platform this fiscal backed by the ongoing bull run in the market and relaxation in eligibility criteria, a BSE official said on Tuesday.

The criteria of track record of profit had been diminished to one year infusing momentum that would prompt a leap of 50% in listing on the stage, BSE head SME platform Ajay Thakur said.

Bringing SMEs onto the capital market course is difficult yet Kolkata-based dealer financier Gretex Corporate Services Ltd is assuming a critical part in motivating the small organizations from the east and different districts to unlock their worth and raise supports tapping the capital market, he said.

“We expect the number of listings will be 60 organizations this financial, of which 50 have effectively filed papers for approval. On a normal, the yearly posting has been somewhere in the range of 30 to 40 organizations, however this year it will be extremely high. There are presently 343 organizations on this platform including Gretex,” Thakur told PTI side-lines of the listing function of Gretex Corporate Services.

He said that Gretex is one of the first partner of BSE, which is instrumental in attracting SMEs to get listed on the bourse raising capital through IPOs.
