By 2030, India Shall be Third Largest Economy: Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who was addressing the students of Shri Ram College of Commerce this Thursday, said that India is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy. He said that today, India’s economy is worth 2.9 trillion USD and it keeps on moving to and from the world’s 5th and 6th largest economy with the changing dollar rate. However, it’s estimated to grow to a 5 trillion USD economy by 2024, and a 10 trillion USD economy by 2030 or 2031, he said.
