NIIT Technologies to Sell 30% Equity to Baring Private Equity Asia

NIIT Technologies and other promoter entities are looking to sell around 30% of their equity for 2,627 crores INR to Baring Private Equity Asia (BREA). BREA will also make an offer to NIIT Technologies’ public shareholders to buy 26% additional equity which will hike the net deal value to 4,890 crores INR.
A regulatory filing said that BPEA will buy 18.85 million shares of NIIT Technologies and other promoter entities at the cost of 1,394 INR per share.
