Cab Aggregators to be Fined ₹1,000 for Declining Rides in Madhya Pradesh

According to a senior bureaucrat, cab aggregators like Ola and Uber may soon need to pay a fine of ₹1,000 if they decline service to the customers. The decision aims at improving the service experience of the customers that are ill-treated when they are provided with last-minute cancellations and refusals.

Madhya Pradesh Transport Deputy Secretary, Niyaz Khan said that the government has charted out rules to slap a ₹1,000 penalty on app-based cabs that refuse to offer service after a booking is confirmed.
