Cashfree Payments launches softPOS for businesses

India’s leading payments and API banking solutions company, today announced the launch of ‘softPOS’. softPOS is a Point of Sale (POS) solution for organizations like supermarkets, retail shops, food delivery applications, the car industry, NBFCs and so forth doing door-to-door collections. softPOS is available as an Android application, and organizations can use the application to generate UPI QR codes, make payments linked, and enable card payments by means of NFC-based Tap and Pay, and furthermore record and manage cash collections.
Cashfree Payments also offers payment techniques, for example, wallets, EMI, and other Buy Now Pay Later options through the softPOS.
The solution is available on Google Play Store and can change over an Android telephone into a POS machine. To use the application, organizations can join Cashfree Payments and add their delivery experts, collection agents, or other employees as application users.
Agents can then download the application on their mobile phones and start accepting payments through an OTP-based login. Businesses can view the collections from each agent independently and get the payments directly in their business accounts.
The digital nature of the solution removes the reliance on the actual POS machines and also enables visibility and control over their collections.
