CBIC launches e-office to improve governance

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) propelled ‘e-Office’ in more than 500 GST and customs workplaces that will help improve administration via robotizing the inward procedures of taking care of documents.

The launch of the application denotes a principal change in inner office techniques that are so far dependent on manual treatment of records and paper development.

An official articulation said, “The CBIC expects e-Office would supplement its numerous other (data innovation) IT-drove changes that are legitimately planned for improving the simplicity of working together for the exchange and industry”.

The e-Office application, created by the National Informatics place (NIC), empowers online record related work, beginning from accepting and marking dak, operating a document, setting up a draft letter, its endorsement, and signature and dispatch of the signed letter.
