Complaints Against Banks Increased 25% in FY18, Says Report
According to a report compiled by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the number of complaints against the banks increased by 25% in FY18. It said that the 21 offices of banking ombudsman received 163,590 complaints in the financial year 2017-18 which is 24.9% higher than the previous year. It also said that most of the complaints were raised against the state-run banks which aren’t surprising as they make for nearly 70% of the entire banking sector.
