Content moderation is difficult due to Indian diversity

Due to the fast-growing internet users in India due to its diversity there is a major concern about content moderation. Facebook has introduced the first 20 members of its oversight board.
The board will take the decisions to overturn the decision made the company on whether individual pieces of content should be allowed on Facebook and Instagram.
Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Vice Chancellor of National Law School of India University, told ET, “India is second in the fast-growing internet users which are growing rapidly. There is a major concern due to the scale, size, and diversity”.
