Corporates seek stimulus to provide relief to the industry

The government must increase a direct stimulus of round Rs. 15 lakh crore, which results in 7.5% of India’s GDP, to help offer comfort to the enterprise, mainly small firms.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said, “By the end of this month Indian Industry would lose output of two months and the coronavirus outbreak has impacted the economy of the nation”.

CII President Vikram Kirloskar said in a statement, “With monetary activities being restricted for over 50 days now, the bad effect at the economy is expected to be notable than what we had predicted in advance”.
