Dish TV introduces digital payment options for users

Direct-to-home service provider Dish TV India Ltd has announced the launch of a QR scan feature ‘Output QR and Pay’ for D2H subscribers and ‘Scan to Pay’ for DishTV endorsers. “The UPI is a safe, convenient, and direct method of digital payment. We noticed an expanding voice of the client for hassle free quick payment modes and that is the reason we chose to carry out a special QR Scan payment mechanism for our DishTV and D2H subscribers.

This is one more payment mechanism we have now, giving our clients a wide scope of secure and simple payment alternatives,” Anil Dua, executive director and group CEO, Dish TV India Ltd said in a statement.

Digital payment is gaining a important presence in semi-urban and rural markets where data connectivity is low and the only source of infotainment is TV, say industry executives.
