Ease of Doing Business to Improve as Lok Sabha Passes Consumer Protection Bill
The Lok Sabha has passed the Consumer Protection Bill which aims at bolstering the rights of the consumers and addressing the problems related to defects in goods and services. Once the Rajya Sabha passes it as well, it will replace the Consumer Protection Act that was set up in 1986.

The Lok Sabha has also passed a Bill that will amend the Companies Act and improve ease of doing business along with easier compliance mechanisms.
