Eight Cities Including Delhi, Chennai, and Pune to Get New Airports
A government official has disclosed that the Centre is looking to open eight new airports in states like Maharashtra and Delhi. Work has already started in the new airports in Goa’s Mopa, Delhi’s Jewar, Kolkata, Pune, and others, they said.

The official said that some states are facing roadblocks such as Delhi where the farmers protested against the Noida airport due to the felling of trees, etc., while others are facing no immediate problems which include Hyderabad and Bangalore.
