First numberless credit card launched by Axis Bank-Fibe: Up to 3% cashback, UPI-enabled and other features
In a groundbreaking development, Fibe, formerly known as EarlySalary, has joined forces with Axis Bank to unveil “India’s first-ever numberless credit card” on October 10, 2023. Departing from the traditional credit card format, which prominently displays a 16-digit number, expiry date, and CVV, this innovative card challenges the status quo.

This cutting-edge credit card, a collaboration between Fibe and Axis Bank, features a minimalist design. Strikingly, it lacks any visible card number, expiry date, or CVV on its surface. Instead, the card hosts only an embedded chip, ensuring a sleek and secure physical appearance. To access the essential details, cardholders need to turn to the Fibe mobile application, introducing an added layer of security and privacy.

This visionary move addresses the growing concerns surrounding identity theft and unauthorized access to sensitive card information. By eliminating visible card details, Fibe and Axis Bank prioritize the security and peace of mind of their customers. Sanjeev Moghe, President and Head of Cards and Payments at Axis Bank, emphasized the importance of this revolutionary step, stating, “This numberless Axis Bank card will prioritize the security of our customers.” With this initiative, the realm of credit cards takes a giant leap forward, embracing simplicity, innovation, and enhanced security for the benefit of all.
