Flexi-Workers in India Increased to 3.3 mn in 2018 Compared to 1.2 mn in 2015

According to a report by India Staffing Federation (ISF), flex-staffing workers who get temporary employment from contractors or other employers increased by 16.3% from 2.1 million in 2015 to 3.3 million in 2018.

The growth of the flexi-staffing sector is attributed to its formalization under which the workers get insurance, PF, and other benefits that are common to regular workers, and the fact that the employers don’t have to comply with as many as 44 labor laws.
