Google Pay cryptocurrency move

In a new development, Google Pay’s crypto move may see them bring Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies to its platform.

A series of events has finally driven Alphabet Inc’s. Google to hire Arnold Goldberg, previous PayPal chief, to run its payment operations and form a blockchain technologies group and to strategies and execute Google Pay crypto currency move. The organization might be setting its eye on bringing crypto currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum to its Google Pay platform. The rumors have strengthened after Bill Ready, Google’s leader of trade said, “The move is important for a broader strategy to collaborate with a wider range of financial services, including cryptocurrency.”

Reported by Bloomberg, this move may be the new direction Google needs to venture towards after it binned the Google Plex project prior in October 2021. Through Google Plex, the organization was planning to build a digital checking and saving services. After spending over a year on the project and in any event, bringing installed 11 financial partners, Google ultimately chose to let go the task. Presently, with new turns of events, it seems the organization is choosing to head towards the path of cryptocurrency instead.

Everything started after Google hired Goldberg to handle with Google pay system, the announcement for the equivalent was made on January 19. The next day, Google announced forming a dedicated group for blockchain technology under Shivakumar Venkataraman, Google’s engineering VP.
