Government Policy on Cryptocurrencies Soon, Says SEBI Chief

Ajay Tyagi, who is the chairman of financial securities regulator SEBI said that regulations concerning the usage and investment of/in cryptocurrencies in India will be out soon, and the roles of the regulators under the same have been finalized.
He said that on the very next day when the Union Budget was announced, they requested the Department of Economic Affairs to hold a meeting as they want to frame a policy as soon as possible.
Tyagi was appointed by the government to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the cryptocurrencies as well as work on the center’s own cryptocurrency.
