Government Pondering Crypto Tokens for Financial Transactions
According to a recent DNA report, the government is mulling over launching crypto tokens that may replace smart cards. A committee is currently looking into ways to regulate the system and create a roadmap for the usage of cryptocurrencies in the country in the near future.

A government official who is aware of the developments on the matter said that the committee is considering whether crypto tokens can be used as an alternative to smart cards such as the ones used in metros. A draft on the regulations will be tabled before Parliament after finalization, he said.
