Government Set to Launch Next Gold Bonds Scheme on April 24

The government will launch its first tranche of sovereign golds bonds of the current fiscal on April 24, with which the investors can enjoy the benefit of 2.5% annual interest that’s also tax exempted.

The finance ministry has announced that they will be accepting the applicants of the new gold bonds from April 24 to April 28, and the eligible investors will be able to receive the bonds on May 12.

The government plans to earn as much as Rs. 5,000 crore from all of its three gold schemes within the current fiscal.
