Govt. Achieves Target of 50 Million LPG Connections Eight Months Earlier
As the government provided the 50-millionth LPG connection to a resident of Sangam Vihar, New Delhi this Friday, it achieved the target under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana it had originally set for March 2019.

The papers for the milestone connection were handed over to a Muslim lady Takrdiran by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. She, Sumitra Mahajan, said that the scheme has not just been a major cost-saver for the women but also honored them as they won’t need to go to forests to collect firewood anymore.
