Huawei Has Big Plans for 5G, to Launch 5G Phone This Year

Chinese tech and smartphone giant Huawei is working towards giving neck-to-neck competition to the top western industry players and plans to launch its first 5G phone this year.
Huawei CEO Richard Yu said that his company will showcase the world’s first foldable 5G smartphone next month which will use Balong 5000 modem and Kirin 980 chipset rather than the chips from US-based vendors as a cost-cutting measure.
