Increase in Festive Season Hiring Expected to be 10-15% Compared to 40% Last Season

Recruitment during the festive season in India increases a lot to meet the huge demand for purchases. Last year, around 1,80,000 jobs were created last year that marked a growth of 40% in the volume. This year, however, only 10 to 15% increase in jobs is expected. Experts say that is because this year, firms that are hiring don’t want to appoint too many workers that don’t really complement sales.

Vice President of TeamLease Service, Ajay Shah said that delivery and logistics sector can expect most demand in jobs this year.
