India has talent but there is a disparity in performance among states
October 21, 2019
India’s human capital has hit the highest score of 32 among the 5 enabling pillars in India’s innovation index.
Even though India has majored in this pillar, the disparity among states is huge in this sector with scores fluttering from 8.98% to 74.96.
According to the India’s Innovation Index report, the smaller the state, the better it is at creating human capital.
Rather there is also innovation disparity among the states where Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka topped the index while Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar came in last. The lower ranking states are in need of investment to improve their education system according to NITI Aayog’s India innovation Index Report.
India has to improve its ranking in innovation index by focusing on two factors, that is by improving the education sector and the employability issue.
