India Leading in Energy Sector Investments Across World During 2015-18

Investments in the energy sector had a massive growth in India compared to other parts of the world between 2015 and 2018. The nation’s energy sector investments grew 12% in 2018, the data shared by the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows. During 2015-18, the investments in the sector grew 7% Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR). Most of these were made in renewable power, oil & gas, electricity networks, and energy efficiency.
It’s worth noting India’s renewable energy sector is receiving huge investments from SoftBank led by Japan’s Masayoshi Son through its energy arm SB Energy.
