India’s Digital Economy to Cross 1 Trillion USD-Mark by 2025, Says Official

According to a commerce ministry official, India’s digital economy has to potential to grow to 1 trillion USD by 2025.

Sangeeta Saxena, who is Director in the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry was addressing an India-China business forum recently when she said that there are over 560 million Internet subscribers in India and the country also has the second largest IM service users in the country after China.

Saxena said that with a database of 1.2 billion people under the Aadhaar system, India is one of the three top digital economies in the world and will increase the economic value to 1 trillion USD by 2025.
