India’s Growth Brought Poverty Down, Raised Income Levels Since Three Decades, Says Arvind Subramanian

Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian said that the steady growth of India has helped control poverty and improve a number of human development indices.

Subramanian, who was invited as a guest lecturer at the MCR HRD Institute of Telangana recently, said that in the past three decades, the income levels across the country have increased greatly. This is in spite of the regional disparities that still continue, he added.
