Initial Stage for 5G Rollout Begins, Bids for Auctioneers Called

This Monday, the government started pushing the rollout of upcoming spectrums by inviting bids for auctioneers who can launch the sales in different brands which include 5G as well. The Department of Communications (DoT) issued a notice for a request for proposal (RPF) and the deadline for the submission of bids has been set to September 25.
Director-General of Cellular Operators Association of India, Rajan S Mathews said that usually from the date of selection of the auctioneer, it takes around 2-3 months for auctions to actually start.
