Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp to be Merged by Facebook
Social media giant Facebook is planning to integrate its Facebook Messenger with Instagram and WhatsApp. Although the three platforms will be available as standalone products as they are today, the merger will allow for new features like linking messages across different platforms.

An NYT report said that the work to combine the three platforms has already begun and it shall be completed by the end of the year. However, Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t have any specific plans on how the company may profit from the merger at this point. Experts believe Facebook may start charging the advertisers a fee for marketing their products on a more engaged audience that the merger will create.
