Instagram will soon let content creators monetize IGTV videos

Instagram confirms to TechCrunch that it has internally prototyped as an Instagram partner program which will allow content creators to earn money by showing ads along with its videos.

The component was first found by application architect and tipster Jane Manchun Wong, who shared the data on Twitter. Facebook affirmed IGTV Ads for Creators in an announcement: “We keep on exploring ways to assist content creators to monetize with IGTV. We don’t have more details to share now, yet we will as they grow further”.

The details of the program are not yet known. As indicated by the report, it might work along the lines of its parent organization’s ‘Facebook Watch’ program, where content creators can share videos, and hold a ‘watch party’ with promotions showing up inside the video. Content creators earn 55% of the complete promotion income.
